Partridge Shoots In Morrocco

This is your opportunity to enjoy a shooting holiday in Morocco, combining the most challenging Gambra partridges in the wilderness, and the best winter climate and traditional Moroccan hospitality in the imperial town of Taroudant and Chafarni.

Taroudant and Chafarni are located a short 45 minute drive from the modern airport of Agadir, which receives several international direct flights, and is also well connected via Casablanca.

Hunting Season & Climate Conditions:

• Weather conditions in the region of Taroudant and Chafarni, are very mild from the middle of October through end of December, with cooler mornings and sunny afternoons. Later, in January and February; average temperatures are around 18ºC. Extended daily programs can be arranged to enjoy the world famous golf and beach resort in the town of Agadir.

Shooting Area:

• “Domain Chafarni” is our fauna & flora reserve, located 65 Km from Taroudant, in the base of the Atlas Mountains, offering breathtaking views. It has an extension of 3.000 hectares of undulated landscape, with some fabulous valleys, combining arganiers, palmiers, mountain pines and arbustive vegetation, providing an ideal habitat for the gambra partridge. Some wild boars and protected, wild gazelles are also found in this area.

Accommodation options:

• Hotel La Gazelle D’Or (Taroudant ): A World famous boutique hotel, La Gazelle offers 30 luxury bungalows within an “oasis” garden, spa and swimming pool, refined cuisine and classic piano bar. Price ranges from 400 € to 700 € per suite/night, with breakfast and dinner. 55 minute drive to the shooting area.
• Hotel Palais Salam (Taroudant): Adjoining to the famous town walls, it is a very nice Moroccan architecture hotel, with good service and spacious rooms. Price ranges from 120 € to 200 €, including breakfast and dinner. 50 minute drive to the shooting area.
• Hotel Dar Zitoune (Taroudant): Provides A wonderfull place to relax in the beautiful olive and citrus gardens. It offers 20 bungalows and suites, fully equipped and decorated with Berber furniture. Enjoy live Arab music every night in the traditional restaurant. Price ranges from 120 to 350 €. 50 minutes from the shooting area.

Shooting parties and package rates:

• Parties may be formed by 5 to 8 guns. We anticipate a daily bag that could vary from 300 to 350 partridges to be takes in 3 or 4 drives. A bonus! In the event of exceeding your bag limit, there are no additional charges! Non shooting guests are welcome to join the party during the shoot, with the option to arrange special guided tours upon request.

• Rates: Quoted Per day/ driven gambra partridge shoot, 12.500 € + VAT per group. Per non shooting guest, 150 € + VAT per day. Shooting Licence, gun import permits, and hunting tax, 350 € + VAT per gun.
• Includes: All shooting costs: beaters, game keepers, dog handlers, transport on shoot, 1 loader and 1secretario per gun, ammunition for 12, 16 and 20 bore, shooting licence, insurance, and temporary gun import permit. We provide leather gun sleeves, stools and leather cartridge bags. Typical Moroccan aperitifs and meals served in the field during the shoot, at the tented camp. Group meeting at Agadir airport with all gun documentation ready and transport in minibuses or 4WD cars to the hotel, and permanent guide/interpreter assistance.
• Not included: Estate taxes (T.V.A. at 20% over total), and all hotel expenses and dinners to be paid directly by each gun. Tips to keepers and staff, please allow a total of 50 € per gun per day, to be collected at the end of the shoot. Each gun may give, at its own discretion, another tip to loaders directly.
