Success on bears between 8½ to 10 feet has been 90%. This particular area has an incredible density of bear & has had little hunting pressure, allowing you to be selective. This location is also known for its huge salmon, which lure in these incredible coastal brown bears.

  • Conducted in the Kilbuck Mountains east of Bethel and range southeast to the Bearing Sea, these hunts are fully guided hunts and include a cook tent and sleeping tents. In an ongoing efforts to manage the bear population, they only take 1 brown bear per drainage per year to insure good hunting in future seasons. They have consistently provided our clients 100% shot opportunity on bears. In 2006 they harvested 10 brown bears out of 11 hunters, with 8 being of the color phase variety. Five of those bears measured over 9 feet in length.

  • Southeast Alaska has the highest density of brown bear in the world. This hunt takes place from a 42-foot hunting yacht that offers all the comforts of home. Our outfitter and master guide has consistently taken some of the largest brown bear year after year. These bears will be in the 8½’ to 10’ class with the average bear close to 9’. Success has been near 90%.
