- The Coues’ deer is probably the most challenging specie of deer to hunt in North America. This small whitetail deer inhabits the Sierra Madre Mountains in Sonora, Mexico. Similar to hunting sheep because of the terrain and the elusiveness of this specie, glassing is required to find the best trophy buck. Success rates have been 95% over the past 10 years on trophy Coues’ deer with many qualifying for B&C. This is a fun, challenging hunt in some rugged country for a very special deer.
